My friend and I were just talking about this today and she read to me out of the Bible about it. I am not sure where it was and I don't know the passage word for word but it was basically that He will return when every person has been told about him and has had the chance to decide for themselves whether or not they are going to accept that He died for our sins and rose again three days later.
Then when He comes anyone who has chosen not to accept it can't say, "But I didn't know".
