Well okay, theres this guy & he just moved to my school awhile ago, he's in one of my classes. I tried talking to him the first couple days and I could barely get him to say anything at all so I kinda gave up. Pretty recently though he's been talking a little bit, just about some random things.

He's really quiet though if he says anything & I dunno, it sounds kinda like he doesn't wanna talk or doesn't know what to say, but he's the one starting conversations with me now. I don't think I've ever heard him talk to anyone in that entire class except me. But then again that's just one class so I dunno.

The main thing is though, our conversations are kinda.. awkward I guess cause his voice is so quiet and he just sounds nervous or something. And it makes me kinda nervous cause he's nervous, lol. But I guess the main thing I'm asking is, how can I make it seem less awkward when we talk? Sorry this is so long, I guess I talk too much x_x

You may have to do most of the talking.

The thing with shy guys is that when we're with a girl we like, our minds go blank. We honestly have no idea what to say or do or anything, so we usually just like being around someone, even when not talking. But if you wan't to make it less awkward when you talk, you'll have take initiative in all conversations, until he feels comfortable enough to open up. But to me, it seems you've been doing a good job that, so right now, patience is key. Just wait until he gets used to talking to you (I know that sounds dumb, but he probably has hotflashes and an increases heart rate while speaking with you, not to meantion adrenaline in his system, because he's nervous). After a while, he'll become more calm/collected, though it might take a month or three.

What's the big deal? You don't have to have a constant stream of mind blowing conversation the entire time you're together. Just be yourselves and relax. No one likes anyone who talks too much (all the time) anyway. Talk when you have something worth saying and shut the heck up if you don't. Chill out, for Pete's sake!

The best you can do is keep talking to him. Shy people tend to open up to people that talk to them because that takes some pressure off. Just talk about all the things you can possibly can and you will eventually hit something that he can extend a conversation

you need to find a common ground for you both to stand, and talk about. ask questions, as well you might tell him you would like him to get to know you better, so he has a week to come up with 4 questions, asking a bout you stress that the questions can not be of a personal nature. about your likes /dislikes, family, , favourite music, movie, place to be quiet, see what I mean, trust me, if you make this a silly game he will thank you for your efforts
