they want to be visitor friendly, a church that makes you feel better about yourself, they don't want to offend anybody so they ignore the core issues, my church is visitor friendly but not in that sense, my pastor doesn't stray away from the Bible or twist Biblical teachings to make people feel good, we'll be kind to you and love you but just because you're a visitor that might be offended with our message, that doesn't mean anything to us, if you don't like what's being said, that's too bad, that's just my view on things

Right on! Fellowship is important and necessary (especially if you have a small business) but not the 'end all' of our relationship with the Creator. As I understand, the scriptures advise that all must do is believe and all that sin, original and otherwise is washed away. Yet many churches preach about treasure in Heaven and doing good works to somehow amass this 'treasure'.
That is total crap! The reason to do good works bibically is because others will see your example and good life, and it should lead them to God. Remember the candle in the dark, as opposed to under a barrel.
Also understand 'like' attracts 'like'. So if your are living right it is going to lead to more 'living right' and that should be nothing but a benefit in ones life.

The reason in my opinion is because MAN wants to make salvation easy and fill the pews. The Lord saidUpon this rock I will build MY church (singular in nature) meaning there are not a bunch of ways to salvation...The only way to salvation is reveled to us in the New testement...Some preachers tend to say things to "tickle Ears" where they Should be preaching the gospel and tell you how it is...First you must Hear the gospel, Second Believe, Third Repent of your sins, Fourth, Confess Jesus as the Son Of God,Fifth Be Baptisted and then remain Faithful even though as Humans you will slip but you got to repent again and try not to do that same thing again.I think it IS good to be social with members of your Church it keeps you all strong in Faith But God must come first.I hear The Truth at Church...Even when it doesnt make you feel good.

I certainly went to Church, regardless of the undeniable fact that interior the Catholic Church we are able to bypass on Saturday, we've a Mass at 04:00PM that counts for the Sunday Mass. I went with my husband and 14 12 months previous daughter and my 12 12 months previous son stayed residing house to guard my different son, his 9 12 months previous brother who has bronchial asthma and bronchitis and replaced into fairly ill. The Church isn't that distant and that i had my cellular in case of emergency. God's love and cohesion replaced into the subject of this week's sermon. The Priest suggested all forms of love. As a remember of a certainty, he had only met with 4 couples who needed their toddlers baptized, so love between companions, married human beings, replaced into additionally suggested. The Priest suggested the way it replaced into significant to be enjoyed and emphasized on the persons who're left aside, how we could constantly guard them, comprise them in our households. There wasn't an astounding sort of making a track and that i replaced into so caught up in what the Priest had reported considering i be attentive to this manner of super sort of folk who're so on my own that i did no longer pay plenty interest to the hymns. interior the Catholic Church, there is usually a particular area committed to prayers for international peace. Then, after the Mass, I went to the front of the Church to easy a candle at Jesus' ft for my buddy's daughter who has maximum cancers. The daughter is Catholic and the mother, my buddy, is a Born lower back Christian so I placed the candle in front of Jesus the place it burns for each week. i'm hoping you had a intense-high quality Sunday and desire you will want a competent week. God Bless.

The Bible states many interesting things that is not taught in todays society. For example it states that it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to get into the gates of heaven.
My suggestion is to go to your Priest, Preacher, Reverend, or whatever you church leaders positon is and get down on your knees, and confess your sins to him, ask him to help pray for your forgiveness of sins.
Unlike all other Chrisian faiths, Catholics actually do confess their sins to their Priest, asking him to help ask the lord for forgiveness. I am willing to bet that most everyone out there doesn't have the balls to do that!!
But that would be a great way to help get your butt into the gates of Heaven....you gotta confess your sins here on Earth, you can't take them to your grave.

Because mainstream Christianity is starting to realize what it really is -- a huge social club based on some stories that try to teach people to be good to each other, nothing more.

I don't think you read the same bible I read, daily. But this is quite common. It's mistranslated and mis-dogmaed from the Torah. We believe that everyone will have to pay for their own mistakes and no one else's, unless we repent. Repentance is simple and God has all the power to forgive, he doesn't need anyone else's help.

2 Tim. 4:3-5
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

Because they're too busy bashing gays.
And people with any sense at all realize that teaching repentant murders go to heaven, but non-believers who do good works deserve hell is a pretty stupid way to run a society.

“If faith is a valid tool of knowledge, then anything can be true 'by faith,' and therefore nothing is true. If the only reason you can accept a claim is by faith, then you are admitting that the claim does not stand on its own merits.” (Dan Barker)
Faith is the antithesis of rational thought. This is why so many religious leaders actively preach against rational thought and even advanced education. They realize that rational thought and education can destroy religious faith and result in fewer followers for them.
