I've been home schooled all my life (it sucks!) and I'm in high school and I play tennis. I want to play on a JV or varsity team but I'm home schooled and home schoolers don't have JV or varsity sports teams. Is there any way a home schooled high schooler could play on a JV or varsity school team? Is it even possible.

Why doesn't home school organizations have JV or varsity sports teams?

Contact your local school district's administration offices. Some districts/counties now allow home schooled students to participate in public school sports teams. Another option is to look into your local Parks and Recreation department to find a team that is in your age group. Good luck to you!

Your parents pay for the local high school via TAXES - of course you can join the tennis program. Talk with your parents and then the school.....go for it!!! Some states DO have sports teams - you just need to search online for them.

You can join teams with the YMCA or some organization, but I have a problem with homeschooling because it denies you the socialization many sports bring and teaches leadership and how to interact with people on all levels.

Some home school groups do have teams. And some public schools don't have teams. I'm quite certain we don't have any tennis teams where I live.

A lot of schools will accept homeschoolers on their school teams. Just ask.

Do you want to join high school?
Would your parents let you?
That way you could be part of the team

Maybe because you're home schooled and therefore you're the only person at your school?
