This is not only done, but done a lot. In todays age with parents not around for one reason or another it happens a lot.
I have also seen Dad and MOM both walk their daughter down the aisle, as well as Mom, Brother, Son, Daughter.
How is it done? However YOU are comfortable with it. It is your wedding, that makes it your decision. These are your friends coming to the wedding. By now they should know you.

I think that this is a case where maybe you should step up and be the bigger person. Your dad knows what he's done to you. By doing this, you're no better, you're just pushing it right back in his face. I recommend having them walk you together. As your dad gets older, he may come around. And if he's really close to you in a few years, you might regret not having him walk you down the aisle. I really doubt you'll ever regret having the both of them walk you down the aisle. I'm sure this isn't what you wanted to hear.

I have seen this done before. The mother and brother of the wedding I went to walked down the bride, one on each side. What they did though was light a candle as a reminder of the father, and I have also seen the bride have a special flower in her bouquet. I don't think there was any difference in the linking of arms, but you do what you and your mom feel comfortable. And congratulations!!!

Of course this is done. And, yes you should link arms with your mother. It is sad that your father is not there to walk down with you, but that certainly does not mean you mother shouldn't. Your bother won't be there, but what if you didn't have a brother. It would even be sadder if you didn't have a mother. Live for that moment and let it stay with you for the rest of your life. Anyway, your father will not be able to walk you down, but don't think for a moment he wont' be there with you with a big smile on his face as proud as can be!

I admire you. It is the act of "giving you to your groom" and if that is what's she's doing then there is no problem with her walking you down the aisle. Times are changing, and new traditions and customs are being born b/c of it. That is what are you doing. Forming new ones for generations to come. Congratulations.
As far as linking arms or whatever, talk to your mom, practice, do what feels comfortable for both of you.

I think that's very sweet of you to want to walk down the aisle with your mom. It will mean alot to your mother and you can link your arm with hers, it's no different or hold her hand. Either way you choose it is very sweet of you and it will be wonderful.

I think that's sweet! It's your wedding and you can have it done any way you like! I think that's cool! My mom died 4 years ago and I'd give anything to have her walk me down the aisle. I'd rather have her than my dad actually.

I think that you should do it however you want to, my mother is going to be my maid of honor...different ppl have different feelings and ways going about things. I think that you could either hold hands or link arms, whatever you are most comfortable doing! It's your wedding, you get to say what is done or not!
