Im thinking of buying the spanish and the japanese versions. do they work?

It is a good support tool, to learn vocabulary and practice pronunciation in general. Though I agree with whoever said they don't explain grammar. At all. I had the German version, and I was really glad I was also taking real classes at the same time, because it was really confusing. I think they expect you to just figure out the grammar on your own.

The only thing I know about that is theres a good Tool song called Rosetta Stoned.

They do sort of work. They are very good for pronunciation and vocabulary but unless you are some kind of linguistics genius, the grammar will be a mystery as it is not explained properly.

I don't like it. I had the Turkish one and although it really drilled sentences like "the boy is on top of the airplane" into my head, it doesn't really teach you much else.
