He has been depressed for 11 months now. He has lost weight and is unmotivated, and our sex life is suffering! What can I do?
Can someone please reply?

he sees a counselor but it doesn't seem to be working!

Find support groups in churches, or in your town that won't cost anything. he needs to talk about it, he needs to share with other people who have been there, He has to go through the process, Its hard to pick yourself up and start over again. This was his child. Unless you've been there you can't imagine, I have been there 3 years ago my daughter died. You have to bare with him, I know its hard for you too. God be with you both.

If he hasn't started medication yet, he may need to. The best thing you can do for him is let him talk about his son, be there for him, if it's only to take his hand in yours. This is going to take a very long time to recover from. Be patient, but suggest medication. Good Luck!!!!

It does take time i hope for your sake he snaps out of it soon. Id hate to lose a child i dont think i would ever get over it. My thoughts r with u.

get him some help really, really soon !!!! maybe see a doctor for some anti depressants and just be there and try to understand and help him thru this hard time...

make him get out of the house and do things. movies, amusement parks, museums, fishing, antiquing . anything distracting and scenery changing

try to talk to him and ask him what is goin on and if he gets mad just get a counseler
