Are there any steps one should take when cut (in the finger for example)?
I remember cutting myself on accident, resulting in a deep wound. I disinfected it an put on a band-aid, but still have a big scar now.
For future reference: Is it worth seeing a doctor for something like this? How would you stop the bleeding? Prevent major scarring?

u should run it under could water and press a rag tightly and elevate until the bleeding stops.....apply neosporin or somenthing like that alot.

The scar was caused by not closing the wound sufficiently to allow the skin to meld. This time place tape near the area and close the opening as tight as possible and tape it shut, or you could get mom's needle and thread.
