God speaks to all of us....in many ways...God speaking to anyone does not make them special... since God is not a respecter of persons...

.but if someone is always saying that God speaks to them, and that God says this or that, they are just doing that to persuade you of their opinion.

Im not really sure what your question is,but as a believer I sure want Him to speak to me.Its not what I want to sometimes hear, but if im sincere then He has spoken to me.It might be through another believer,or non believer, dream,my husband, friend, any # of ways.I surely dont believe God only speaks to evangelists.I hope you continue to seek till you find,be blessed.

I don't trust the voices all these people supposedly hear. I am a Catholic and I don't trust all the Virgin images in Grilled cheese sandwiches either. Everything needs to be examined individually

Hmmm- I don think I have heard that. Do you mean when they are praying they ask the Lord to speak to them? Because that is what we all want- who are believers in Jesus Christ. We want the Lord to speak to us and lead us into all truth. But if you mean they walk around and say "Oh lord speak to me!" to cause attention- yeah that is messed up.

I would think...as long as it was in line with Scripture, they ARE supposed to have an ear tuned in to the Heavens...much like a psychic does to the 'dearly departed'.

"Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined, and imprisoned, yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools and the other half hypocrites."

I don't really think that "Christian" and "confirm" are two concepts that go well together.
