Ok I see this girl in the halls and at lunch everyday but I dont know her name. I want to be friends with her but I'm too shy to just go up to her and start talking. The other day I asked her for a pen while I was waiting for the bus and today I gave it back but we didn't realy talk. I Dont wanna ask her out or to have lunch because she might have a BF. So I just wanna be friends for now.

alright bro face it you like this girl and you want to date her! this is what you do! sounds like you've never had much luck dating, or with females. she wants to know that you think shes cool and that if she ever decided your cool enough shed give you a call! im in college and you have to keep you game up here, the thing you need most is to act the least bit unexperienced, she needs to get positive vibes from you that imply that your a person she whould consider! never tell her you like her EVER. this is highschool kid and if you like her then it will creep the FU-cck out of her. confidence you dont need confidence if you follow these simple rules! have her think you dont care dont tell her that. however act around her as if you are disinterested her friends and every girl you treat like this will come to you and try to talk. if they start thinking your a interesting person then they will want you to be in there group! one thing that may be tuff for you is if you have nothing interesting in your life if this is true try not to make it interesting. tell people who you truely are. dont pretend that kinna thing sends negative vibes that domino. one other thing worth considering is changing that lunch to dinner, whatever you do kiss her!!!

BE REAL, be you. say it to her like you whould say it to a friend, i have a neighbor i dated for a few weeks who will be going to law school (right now shes at TSU where i am)! shes sooo much cooler than i am and she is hot hot hot! met her when i was walking my dog. i admired the fact that she valued inteligence and gave her that line. and she said "sure im free tonight" we dated that night as friends. then i gave her a kiss and it changed

you should of made conversation when you gave the pen back. but dont worry its not too late. try again but be brave. just talk to her. is she nice? the worst that can happen is she will not be interested at all... and will that even be that bad? if it doesnt work out its not the end of the world . just say to yourself "i was just being nice" and move on and forget it. but the what is most likely to happen is she will talk back and over time you's will get to know each other and a friendship will grow. dont ask her out. just when you see her go talk to her. whenever you walk by say "hi" and she will start to think you are so nice and friendly. when you next see her ...introduce yourself and ask for her name. ok! you can do it. plus girls love it when the guy makes the effort and the first move , when it comes to anything.

But!
When the right time does come for a good conversation to spring up..... talk to her. And I don't mean talk to her in private because girls to get the impression that "he's just tryna" get with me when they are approached individually. See if you can be with her amongst a group of friends where all of you guys are talking. Then when she actually knows who you are, you can actually start sayin hi in the hallways and talkin more. But the safest way to start talking with her is while you guys are with friends together. There is a less chance of her not wanting to talk to you.

do you really wanna be just friends? dont beat around the bush, be brave and ask her out. Whats the worst that could happen, she says "no" ?

Keep doing little tiny things, say hi every so often, she will eventually start up a conversation. I would say though that maybe the next time you see her you can say "hey thanks for letting me use your pen- catcha later" or something of that nature.

you should just do something funny or say a joke or something to make her say something to you then start out slow or just walk pass her one day and just say hi and start a conversation. be a gentlemen
