I want to go to college, but I need help money wise. I know that I will most likely become validvictorian or saludatorian when I get in high school because I am a straight A+ student right now, so I think I will get some. Can anyone tell me about some scholarships? (If I can get scholarships to somewhere like Harvard or something... that's even better!) I want to study education and law. PLEASE!!!

Scholarships are everywhere. I am in the process of looking into some now so I can have the money to go to college in January. Here are some sites that may be helpful to you. Good luck with your search !

One more fact, not applying for scholarships is like turning down free money! This is a great link!

There are several sources to locate financial aid. These sources are for free to apply for each of these.

First, apply in January or early February of your senior year of high school at FAFSA.ed.gov. It will help you tap into need based financial assistance based on your family's income and resources from the federal government and the college.

Second, some colleges offer merrit based scholarships or help based on your grades. It might not happen at an Ivy League school. However, I would check with the college's or university's financial aid office for more information.

Third, all states have a college grant program for undergraduate students. 35 states have a website devoted to college admission and grant applications which can be located via Google.com and Yahoo.com. The other 15 states's grant program can be located via searching your state government's website.

Fourth, check with your high school guidance office because they have a list of local scholarships students can apply for from local organizations and companies.

Fifth, review the college's financial aid website for scholarships. Some list private scholarships from companies and organizations. Also, sometimes a college major website will list some.

Sixth, check with your local library about their scholarship book. There are scholarships that can't be located on the website.

Seventh, search Google.com and Yahoo.com for scholarships on your college major, race, ethnicity, and religion.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on the information you place in it.

Good luck!
