Now that the semester is more than half over, it's probably too late to withdraw. The only thing to do is ask for some coaching from your prof. about what you can work on to at least pass the course. In other words, what, specifically, are you lacking in that has caused the current failing grade, and what can you do differently to start getting some better grades to bring the grade up to at least passing? (That's something you can probably answer yourself, too... have you been reading all the literature assigned? Are you turning in all assignments? etc...)

How much time do you have left? What kind of literature class is it? Just asking because if you need help, I can give it a shot and maybe if you have enough assignments left to do, you can get better grades on those and bring your grade up that way. I've helped several people in your position in the past. Eme if you think I could be of assistance.

If you haven't already, you should meet with your instructor during office hours and talk about your grades. You can ask if you could write and extra paper or rewrite anything that you turned in to try for a better grade. If you can still withdrawl from the class, you should probably do that and start fresh another semester. At my college the deadline to withdrawl is tomorrow, so get cracking.

That is pretty much college. I am not failing but I am not getting the grade I would like in calculus. I would try talking to the teacher during their office hours, and ask for tutoring, then they will know you are trying and may boost your grade up a little. Plus a lot of grades in courses get curved at the end of semester anyway. don't worry!

Be prepared to do a lot of begging, a lot of studying for the final, and a lot of hate for potentially getting an F. Perhaps you can take the class over again and get a better grade.

Expect the worst and move from there.

If you are failing you either did not do all your work, or you don't understand it. Teachers do not have to let you pass on Extra Credit.

why are you failing? If it is something you did - like skip class or not turn in work ..well...you are in college mr. maturity and it's your own fault. But if you are truly having difficulty in a class, perhaps you could speak with your professor about it.

If you're failing then it's probably because you haven't learned the material. In which case you should fail. DUH.
