The age of consent in most states is 16, and I think that's about the right age.

Ok, think about this ? for a second. What age should you have sex, well what age should you have children? When you are ready to support a baby go for it but until you can take care of your self you should consider it too soon. Sure there are protective measures to not become pregnant but there is always the chanc and FYI the sooner you start the more chances to be with the wrong person (get a disease...) also your risk of cervical cancer increases with each partner you have.
You are worth waiting for. You don't want have to work at fast food to support your mistakes, do you?

really there is no age factor but in the old days one would wait till they were married. ANd now a days children are having babies. Fact is make sure when you do have sex you are mature enough to know what your doing. And also if you happen have sex young remember to have protection. The best looking guy in the world can also give you STD. If you dicide to have sex tell teh guy wear a condom or no sex cause if you become pregnant I bet he won't be there to help out. Even if he's teh first he will lie and say you have been sleeping with everybody. so beofre you have sex think of the responsiblities that might happen before you do.

what Alimarchi said: "there isnt an age, only if ur ready should u have sex and not before that."
Woops , too late.
Also when you are married and feel really comfortable and intimate with your spouse. And also that you two have checked out ok in the health department on AIDS and other stds.

umm i would say probably 18, you're an adult by then and can make ur own choices on ur own.
Also an other way u can look at it is, if u have sex now and u get pregnant would u be able to take care of the baby and if its a no, then u are too young!

16-17 or so. I wouldn't wait too long, life is short. U should do it for the right reasons, not just to do it, because of peer pressure, etc. If one has to ask this type of question though, I'd say they're not ready.

I know people who lost it at 14 - 15 and they regret it now that they're a few years older. Never feel pressured into losing it, no matter how young or old you are.

There is no set age. When you are not only physically, but mentally and emotionally ready. Do not rush this, it will happen when it is naturally right. And when you do, be smart about it.
