my parents are angry people. they have awful tempers. and i'm locked up in my room, and i need someone to talk to, i really want to rip something apart. my parents get angry and throw things, that's about as violent as they get, i'm just afraid of it getting worse. i'm 14. help me please. give me numbers to call that will keep me anonymous? and not get my parents arrested? because i just need someone to talk to about it, that's all.

I know this might sound a bit odd, but what country are you in?

In most (all?) places there are local numbers listed on the inside cover of your phone book. In addition, here are some national numbers:

US:
1-800-999-9999 (National Youth Crisis Helpline)
1-800-784-2433 (National Crisis Helpline)

Canada:
1-800-668-6868 (Kids Help Phone)

UK:
0800 1111 (Childline)
080 800 13 2 19 (Connexions Direct)

Australia:
1800 55 1800 (Kids Help Line Australia)

I WAS ONLY EIGHT WHEN THE WORLD ENDED FOR ME AND HAD TO PIECE IT BACK TOGETHER AND IT ONLY FIT WHEN YOU KNOW HOW TO STAY AWAY FROM SOCIOPATHIC STARVING FOR ATTENTION REGULATORS,MOST ARE THINKING THAT THE CRIME AND PUNSHMENT IS ADDICTIVE TO PARENTS THEY LOVE REVENGE TOO MUCH, MOST GO UP TOWN AND DRINK AND TELL ALL THERE BUDDIES HOW THEY MAKE THEIR KIDS LIVE UP TO STANDARDS THAT THEY WOULDN'T DO IF THEY GOT PAID. I STOP IN AND READ ONCE A DAY AND WILL LET U HAVE A PLACE TO DUMP THE GABAGE AND FEEL BETTER ANYTIME, DOING THIS TO MAKE IT A BETTER WORLD NOT TO INTERFER WITH PARENTING
