Change doctors!
you must feel good with the doctor.
And remember...you are hiring the doctor. He works for you not the other way around. You pay the doctor for assistance
Fire her...yep you can do that.
If you feel badly....dont. She had hundreds of other people she can "care" for...not yours.

First, I think you are right, you need to change Doctors. There is no reason for a childs Doctor to be unfriendly. Yes, you must ask him or her to either provide you with the records or give instructions to them on where to send them.
Find a new Dr by asking people you know and consider what each person tells you.
Everyone loves their Dr. so listen carefully when they tell you why. Good Luck

Ask around about pediatricians, like people with kids your age. Usually, your new doctor's office can obtain old records without having to say anything to the old doc. I changed pediatricians 3 times before I was happy.

You can sign a release form at the new doc. They will fax it to your old doc to request the records. I suggest you write a letter to the old doc stating why you are switching doctors. Maybe it will have an effect on the service she gives to her other patients.
