Ok well I borrowed a pen from this girl and I was gonna say something charming when I gave it back but she was walking with her friends so I couldn't say anything but "hey I got your pen, thanks" I dont wanna ask her out or nothing like that because she might have a BF

If you see her again, just strike up a friendly conversation. Say hello, ask her something like how her day is going. That's the first step to getting to know someone; talking to them! And maybe if you find out she doesn't have a boyfriend, or if she seems at all interested, you might ask her to hang out with you sometime. If she does have a boyfriend or isn't interested, then you have an opportunity to create a great friendship.

Before you returned the pen, you should have attached a small note that she would have been sure to have read before using the pen.
Okay, the next time you see her offer a "better" writing pen. State that the pen she is using is okay but here's one that you might like. And slip your information to her.

jus start approachin her by sayin hi. or whatsup
and then slowly build up conversation. if you guys are in a class together that should be easy. jus say stuff like hey this test is gonna suck or sumthin slowly build a reletionship frm there and then the more you talk to her the more you'll find about her and the more you talk the closer ur reletionship will be so you'll go frm hey thats the kid in my math class to oh this is my friend so and so. jus dont act weird and you'll be fine. confidence is key. and most of all act like thats where ur suposed to be.

you are obviosly interested, just shy. find out through casual conversation if she has a man, if not then let her know that you are interested. and if she is too then make your move.
