According to this web site:

http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/adolescent/adolescentproblems/weightmanagement.html

approximately 2200 calories a day for girls.

Please also study more about the types of food to eat instead of just the calories to keep yourself energetic and in a good mood. Fresh, whole foods are so important. It's so good when people, including young people, choose to be mindful of what they put in their bodies. Just please choose to have health as your objective and not "skinniness."

If health is your objective, beauty will follow along with many other benefits. Starting now is wonderful! It'll keep you from having to work really hard later to overcome huge health problems. Instead, you can avoid them from the beginning.

As it was already suggested, 11-year olds who are physically active probably do not need to worry about caloric intake. Their bodies are active enough that a well-balanced diet (not too many sweets, following the food pyramid, etc) along with plenty of exercise (participating in sports, staying active, etc) is more than enough to mitigate the necessity for counting calories.

Ensure that the 11 y/o has the correct balance of proteins, carbs, fibers, fruits/veg, and dairy, and ensure they are physically active. This is all they need at this age.

But if you *need* a number, around a 2000-calorie diet is appropriate, adjusted based on physical activity levels.

Don't count calories at 11. Your metabolism is fast, and most kids are active. Worry about that stuff when you're older. You have your whole life to get in shape. Eat what you want now, because it's more difficult as you get older (everything doesn't go to your thighs)

It really depends on its lifestyle. When i was 11 i probably had 2500 calories a day, but i exersiced a lot. You never want to underfeed the kid, but you have to draw the line. So if this kid is active, then give him as much food as he needs.

Between 1,500 and 2,500, but don't worry about it . Their metabolism is good, so if they exercise, it doesn't matter.
