For $25, the vet will send the animal to a company to do what is called a "community cremation." That means the dog will be cremated with a bunch of other animals. If you do a private cremation for a little more, your pet will be cremated individually. You can even opt to keep her in an urn, if you'd like. Also, you can have your pet buried in a pet cemetery, but that i generally expensive, costing anywhere between $100-almost $400, depending on how permanent and personalized you want the burial site to be.
If you ever lose another dog, feel free to ask the vet about your options before allowing the vet to do anything to your pet.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this.

You did not finish your question, but I will do my best to answer it. You are saying that your dog died because he had diabetes? did the vet. tell you that you could leave your dog with him that he would take care of it for you. Was he going to cremate the dog or he would dispose of it himself, saving you the trouble and pain of doing it yourself. If I answered your question with so little information I am glad to help, if not rewrite your question again and other people might be able to give you some advice on this matter.

For such a low price, there are only a few options that the vet has. 1) He can cremate your dog. 2) He can give it up for research and future vet training.

You will have to ask your vet how they take care of the bodies. some vets send them to be cremated, some have other means of disposing of them.

He will either have it cremated or bury it. I doubt that he would want to keep it unless he needs it for research and that would be a good thing.

I do believe they mean they will dispose of your dogs remains (if that is what you are asking).
I'm so sorry for your loss.
