Lil Jeff, you have got to be good with people and have a great personality. Most barbers have to go to barber school, although some cosmetology schools will offer courses also. You also have to study some A & P and some other nervous system information, because the head is a sensitive spot
You ahve to have barbers licsens. Cosmetologists can not legally call themselves barbers, even though they do learn how to cut hair. and vice versa.

pay the big bucks and go to cosmetology school, don't just be a barber. Remember that people want to choose the easiest career so there are too many hairstylists. I have 27 years experience and love working with people so I didn't go back to school to do hair for CG anime, Aim Higher

u attend a Barber College or Barber styling school. Not cosmetology school. they are 2 different licenses.
look in ur yellow pages under barber training. or call a local barber shop.
