GOD put Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Even though they became disobedient and died, God has made it possible for their children, including us today, to live forever in Paradise. The Bible promises: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will (live) forever upon it.” Psalm 37:29.

The Bible tells about a “new heavens” and “a new earth.” (Isaiah 65:17) The present “heavens” are made up of today’s human governments, but Jesus Christ and those who rule with him in heaven will make up the “new heavens.” How wonderful it will be when this new heavens, which is God’s righteous government of peace, rules the entire earth!

What, then, is the “new earth”? The new earth will be good people who love Jehovah. When the Bible speaks of “the earth,” it sometimes means the people who live on the earth, not the land itself. ( Psalm 66:4; 96:1) So the people who make up the new earth will live right here on this earth.

The present world of wicked people will then be gone. Remember, the Flood of Noah’s day wiped out a wicked world of people. And, as we have learned, this present wicked world will be destroyed at Armageddon.

Imagine seeing the whole earth turned into Paradise! Jehovah says of that time: “Look! I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21:5) Consider what that will mean. When Jehovah has finished wielding his destructive power against this wicked old system, there will remain “new heavens and a new earth.” This means that a new government will reign from heaven over a new earthly society composed of those who love Jehovah and who do his will. Satan, along with his demons, will be put out of commission. (Revelation 20:3) For the first time in thousands of years, mankind will be free of that corrupt, hateful, negative influence. The sense of relief will no doubt be overwhelming.

Paradise will not be like the world we live in now. God never wanted the earth to be filled with trouble and sorrow, pain and suffering. In the future, God will make the earth a paradise. What will Paradise be like? Let us see what the Bible says:

Good people. Paradise will be the home of God’s friends. They will do good things for one another. They will live according to the righteous ways of God. Proverbs 2:21.

Plenty of food. In Paradise, there will be no hunger. The Bible says: “There will come to be plenty of grain [or, food] on the earth.” Psalm 72:16.

Fine houses and enjoyable work. On the Paradise earth, every family will have a home of its own. Everyone will do work that brings true happiness. Isaiah 65:21-23.

Peace worldwide. No longer will people fight and die in war. God’s Word says: “[God] is making wars to cease.” Psalm 46:8, 9.

Good health. The Bible promises: “No resident [of Paradise] will say: ‘I am sick.’” (Isaiah 33:24) Also, no one will be lame or blind or deaf or unable to talk. Isaiah 35:5, 6.

An end to pain, sorrow, and death. God’s Word says: “Death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4.

Bad people will be gone. Jehovah promises: “The wicked, will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.” Proverbs 2:22.

People will love and respect one another. No longer will there be injustice, oppression, greed, and hatred. People will be united and will live in harmony with God’s righteous ways. Isaiah 26:9.

Check this out. what if there is only a heaven and we create it. So heaven is what you want it to be. Everyone has their own heaven. what if the purpose is to make this earth here become heaven on earth. So when we die here we go to our heaven. but we can still see everything that goes on down here so we are able to come back to earth as anything whatever you want, or whatever you think will bring this earth closer to heaven on earth. I don't think there is going to be an armaggeddon. I don't thinkgod would kill his people in a violent way or at all for that matter.

Let me say think of things less literal, we all go to heaven or hell which is a description for a moment at death when we review our life, for a person who has lived a selfish life it will be a horrible experience, they will feel all the mistakes that they made, given that love is the ideal after this they sit in a place and feel all of the emotions from their lifetime and the negative ones will hurt, sort of a contemplation.. On the other hand a person who has lived a pure life will have a pleasant reawakening in death and they meet God sortof....

armageddon was a symbolic expression of the future of rome, it has already come, any scholar will explain this, it is not a literal explanation of the end times...St john was preaching and describing the devil as the Roman empire.. He couldnt say it outright because the romans would have silenced him,,,, sort of a coded message to his followers.....

the earth is our mother her job is to help us grow to unity and diversity...... mankind united in one voice will make an awesome power, we could do anything imagineable..one voice being unified through mutual love and respect of each other......mankind has a mission but right now our goal is just to evolve towards loving each other

According to Jehovah's Witnesses, God plans for the earth to be inhabited with peacable, humble, teachable people who love Him. His original intentions were for Adam and Eve to populate the earth with perfect offspring who would live forever in peace and for them all to worship Him. Unfortunately Satan convinced them that they could decide for themselves as to what was right and wrong, and lost humankind that chance until Jesus' sacrifice gave us back that opportunity.
God still has the same plans! In Isaiah chapter 55, verse 11, the Bible says that God's word that goes forth will prove to be. And Isaiah 45:18 says that Jehovah did not create the earth for nothing, he formed it to be inhabited. And Psalms 37:9,11 tell us WHO will be here... those hoping in Jehovah are the ones who will possess the earth... the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will find their delight in the abundance of peace.
God told Adam and Eve to fill the earth. We can safely assume that once the earth is filled with humble hearted people who either are resurrected or live through Armageddon (God's Holy war against evil) Jehovah can cause procreation to cease on earth. He will not let the earth be destroyed by man, and He will not destroy it Himself. As a matter of fact, Jehovah promises to bring to ruin those ruining the earth! (Rev 11:17,18) Why would He destroy it then Himself, or why would no one BE here to inhabit it? Heaven is for those chosen by God to rule with Jesus and hell is the grave and eternal seperation from a relationship with God... the earth was intended for worshipful mankind. Hope this helped somewhat! If you have any further interest, please contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and they will be happy to answer your questions! :)

Earth has been the battleground for 2 opposing systems of government - God's and Satan's. At least a part of God's purpose is to allow a demonstration of the two so that people can make an intelligent choice about whom they will believe/follow/obey.

God says that rejecting him will bring death. He says eventually he will bring an end to the battle and destroy everything so that he can recreate what has been so messed up.

The Vedic literature has all the answers. There are three major planetary systems in the material world. Earth, Heaven (not to be mistaken for the eternal Heaven), and Hell ( no one goes there eternally. Heaven is where souls go to get their good Karma(reactions to previous good deeds). Hell is where souls go to burn off their bad Karma and Earth one gets a combination of the two. We are eternal spirit soul part and parcel of the Supreme Soul. What ever ones consciousness is at the time of death is what they will attain in their next life. An intelligent person will want to stop this birth death old age and disease and attain eternal bliss and happiness. The easiest and best way to do this is by the chanting the Maha Mantra (great mantra for deliverance from misery and material existence) go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com/chanting_hare_kirshn.htm also go to other parts of the site for universal truths

well, the people who have lived by God's word will go to heaven and who haven't will go to hell. and no, ur not staying on earth forever, ur body will untill it decays but u won't. as for Armaggeddon it's a war between God (and everyone on his side) and devil (and everyone on his side) in my opinion.

There is no reason to assume that the Earth has a purpose. Human minds are hardwired to infer agency, but the realities of the situation make plain that it is no more than a happy accident that we're here at all. Likewise there is not the merest shred of evidence to support the theories of heaven or hell. What you see is what you get. Make the most of it.

The wicked will be taken away from earth.

Adam will still be on earth if he didn't sin and was punished by death.

Our Father who.... they will be done on earth as it is in heaven....
