First, call your local school district administration. Different states and districts have different requirements. Some require you to register with them that you are home schoolng. Some will want to see your records...others do not. Some have homeschool coordinators to help you. There are many home school support groups...look in the phone book and/or on-line for groups in your local. I find it easiest to purchase an complete curriculum set of books for the year that covers everything, includes teachers guides, and suggests a time-line. I have used the Alpha-Omega Books .Look for a local Home School Association...they can advise you. You can home school for less than $400.00 a year. Some cities have big get-togethers every spring and sell and trade books, so you save money. Many resources on line. Can get complicated...but if you buy an all-in-one set, it is easy. There should be some school book supply and/or Christian book stores in your town where you can get these books. Good Luck.

That's a vague question - but any parent can teach their child/children. There are SO many resources and options out there. Start with finding out from friends that homeschool what they did to start and ask about curriculum. It's hard to find something based on no info. It's a huge commitment - but it's so liberating for our family. We love it.
