Gym's are expensive, and unless you are being shown what to do, it's not really worth. However, you can have a slice of cake every once in awhile after exercising. If you don't have the discipline to do exercise on your own, then join a gym. But if you can go out walking or jogging everyday and do some sit-ups and everything than it would be better and less expensive.

If you are looking to beef up, then joinging a gym can help you, since there are usually large weights there, or machines that focus on certain muscles. Unless you have these at home, then you're options are lots of push-ups and sit-ups, but unless you are already a big person (which it sounds like you aren't) this won't make you bulk up. To bulk up, you need to work with large weights, and few reps. Also, I personally like going to the gym simply because I get more energy to workout when I am around other people (don't know why). If you can find a gym that doesn't ask for money, like a school gym that allows for public use, that has plenty of weights, then I would recommend going there. Then you don't waste money, and can get a good workout. That's really all I can give you. Hope this helps!

Hello I am going to let you in on my secret. Go to
www.t-tapp.com It has some exercises you can do for free. You can do them at home and don't need any equipment. If you like it buy the DVD. I have been doing the DVD for 4 weeks now and I am very impressed with the results. My first week I lost an inch off my hips, and waist. I also lost 2 inches off my abdominal area. It was amazing. Plus I am an older women and it tightened my skin and my muscles are all toned. It is the best exercise out there and it is for all ages. I hope you check it out.

I think it is not worth it because you do not really know if it is a good gym and then you would just be in a place just training with someone that might not know anything about exercising.
