His cat is 16 years old, not in good health, on medication. Does not have it in him to have her put down. very attached to it, but i'm sure will die soon. If shes stuffed, she will be around forever without the hassle.

I actually have had a similar experience.

I had my cat for 12 years, and he was diagnosed with a uncurable cancer. The doctor said radiaton would only let him live 3 months more, but it will be time to put him down soon.

Well, one day he was throwing up blood and bleeding from his sores (caused by the cancer), at that moment, we knew he had to be put down.

It still hurts me to this day to talk about it. I didnt want to bury him because I move a lot.

And stuffing would just hurt by seeing him everyday and it seems disrespectful to a pet I loved so much.

The best option I had was a private cremation. He now sits in an urn with a little picture frame by it.

Hope this helps put insight on maybe how your brother will feel about it later down the road.

*Also, if the cat has serious problems (like it cant eat, or puking blood and such) it woud be best to put him/her down. Even though it will hurt, the pet will be some much more grateful that it wont suffer and die a slow death.

I don't know if that's the best idea. Usually people do that with animals they've hunted, as a trophy and are not emotionally attached to. You should see how your brother would feel about it, if he loves this cat so much, I think it would hurt him more to see it stuffed there for the rest of his life, maybe you should let it rest in peace.
It's a personal thing, I don't think he would like it though. Also, if he loves this cat so much, he's probably an animal lover in general and do not think he would appreciate it, may see it as a cruelty

The dying of a puppy is not ever an convenient time. Whether it's an older animal, who can have been a facet of the household longer than a few of the furnishings and one of the vital kids, or a puppy who has been with you for only some years, the loss may also be real annoying. And if the top comes via a aware determination for euthanasia, different feelings turn out to be entangled with the elemental feel of loss. Once it is over, you can also decide upon to believe that the revel in is at the back of you. Unfortunately, it's not. There shall be a gap on your loved ones and on your existence for a even as, and for the primary facet of that "even as" the gap would possibly look large. There ARE approaches to fill the hole. However, the loss itself isn't whatever you'll conveniently forget about, assuming that your global will modify itself. Instead, you have to manage that whatever, simply as you might manage the lack of every other well buddy. Yes, it's an extra form of courting, however to act in any other case is to take a look at and difference your perspective in mid-stride. You can't anticipate your self to believe of your puppy as a buddy after which to brush aside the ones emotions as disposable on the grounds that THIS buddy occurred to be an animal. It is NOT foolish to overlook your puppy, and it's NOT overly sentimental to grieve. Another change lies within the consistently problematic proposal of "what occurs subsequent". Many persons, primarily older humans, specific an overly truly drawback that they would possibly not see their animals within the subsequent existence (some thing that can be) on the grounds that they have got been instructed that animals don't have any souls. Maybe you, like me, are somewhat uncertain approximately what precisely " the following existence" holds for any folks. However, if having a soul approach being in a position to suppose love and believe and gratitude, then don't seem to be a few animals bigger capable than plenty of individuals? But nonetheless, he was once puppy and now not a man or woman, and that makes it extra problematic to variety out precisely what you're meant to do and suppose. Although we appreciate the person personalities in pets, that does not imply that they're simply little persons. The courting you've gotten together with your puppy is exceptional from any human courting you could have. We have the accountability to maintain animals and to study from them. As we domesticated pets, they grew to become based upon us for his or her demands. Part of taking good care of them, primarily in a technologically complicated society, in most cases approach finding out while an animal can now not are living a pleased existence or perhaps a content material one. When an animal is made a puppy by way of a liable, being concerned man or woman, he's being given precisely what he demands and needs: his "creature comforts", companionship, and the possibility to go back the want via loyalty and affection. Dogs, primarily, are certainly keen to delight the "chief of the percent", and the landlord takes on that position. So the puppy is not ever happier than while he is aware of that he's pleasurable that man or woman. When he's too ancient or too unwell to reply in the best way HE thinks he must, he can not fully grasp why and feels the nervousness of failure. Because their normal existence-spans are shorter than ours, we generally outlive our pets. However, the existence you shared can't conveniently be deserted. Don't deny your self the ideas, reminiscences, and emotions that your puppy's existence merits. You would possibly make a decision to fill the gap with a further puppy. However, you'll not ever substitute the precise bond you held with the person who is long past.

Well I wouldn't , cause it's disrespectful to the cat. But maybe have a picture or photo out her so he could remember her. And if the cat is in pain , he should have her put down, i know it's hard .But the cat really shouldn't deserves to be in pain. Out of respcet, bury the cat.Tellhim to keep the coller and some of her toys. He will always have memories of her in his heart .

I think you should ask your brother how he would feel about it. Doing this without letting him know could go either way. A) He may thank you for the thought. B) He may be horrified.
As a cat lover myself I would think its not a good idea. The memory of her can live on with him forever.
