I have to be honest and say I don't think they will invade anyone. If other countries around the world have learned from Iraq then the US will think twice about sending the troops into another country in a preventative war. The simple lesson that other countries should already have learned when fighting a power like the US is that battlefield confrontation is a no no. The way to deal with them is to stand down your army and split them into guerilla groups and arm them with whatever weapons your army had. Then just sit back and wait until troops come to your area and snipe at them whenever the opportunity arises. Invasion generally hardens resolve against the invader and you can guarantee that not only soldiers would be members of guerilla groups but civilians would flock to join too e.g. N.I. where the IRA were literally turning away people because somany wanted to fight back.

Well, with all the hype going on at the moment about Iran, maybe that is where they'll invade next, or maybe what they are doing is playing mind games with the Iranians, making them think that they're going to invade there next when all the while, North Korea is the real target.

That's my view anyway.

in theory if we follow the present bush doctrine that is now used to rationalise the invasion of iraq ie, saddam was a brutal dictator killing and enslaving his people and commiting genocide on the kurds and spreading freedom and democracy, it should be burma. the burmese military are busy doing the same thing to their people, probably on a larger scale than saddam ever did, and are ethnicly cleansing their country. but it will not happen because american corporations already own the oil and haliburton have the military in their pockets.

I reckon that Iranian fella has been getting a bit gobby of late. Now that he's going all nuclear, I bet George will give him a bit of instant sunshine to show him what he could have had if he'd kept his mouth shut about wiping Israel off the face of the Earth.

Are there any other countries out there that may or may not have ties to terrorist organisations, that may or may not have weapons of mass distruction, and most importantly any that have a nice stash of natural oil. If so could you please contact the American Foreign Office, and alert them to the facts, they will soon be getting out of Iraq leaving it to self combust, and will need somewhere else to ruin...

If you want to make some money on your bet, the type of country it will invade is important.

It would be Poor, Third World, With no army as such , and 1935 aircraft and tanks. Thats for sure.
