Also, the head of the bolt will have small lines on it; the higher the number of lines, the stronger the bolt. I'm not sure what the exact numbers are. "Machinery's Handbook" and other references can tell you. It's probably on the Internet, too.

This is not possible to answer without knowing a few other details. Fastening hardware like nuts and bolts come in several different grades and are made of several different materials.

Most importantly, torque specs are typically based per the object that the fastener is applied to.
