She's out behind herself...you need to get her to engage her hind end and really reach underneath her body. Also slightly on the forehand. When you collect a canter, you want more up and down action with energy, not to stop the energy by slowing her down. Nice looking horse though.

Actually its quite nice. You have a good seat, but need to use it a bit more to push the rear legs up underneath. A tiny bit on the forehand, but thats ok in the beginning as you need them long a low initially. Dont be so concerned about the collection, though, lots of transitions (walk to trot, trot to short canter etc) will help establish how the horse carries itself and brings itself back a little. Also depends on what discipline you are shooting for.

A little in fron of the vertical if you are talking dressage, but good tempo. A little more front end action could do tons! Achieve this by sitting your horse back on his haunches a little more and collecting him. What discipline do you ride?
