When I see her or talk to her (my stepdaughter) she still gets all emotional and cries which there is nothing wrong with that, because she associates us two together. Any suggestions or answers.

you need to have a real serious conversation with her, and find out why she is so emotional, and let her know you will always be there for her.....

i'm sorry to take heed to approximately your dad. i think of you're being too stressful on your self; you are able to no longer basically "recover from" a kinfolk member passing away. i think of it is common which you think of approximately him and omit him and which you're unhappy. you are able to attempt and bear in techniques the stable circumstances you had and fill your existence with stable issues and persons, which will make you happy. i do no longer think of that persons ever sense it is the "precise time" for somebody to bypass away, so it is common so you might sense that it replaced into too quickly for him. Your mom sounds like she would want some scientific care, or a competent long heart to heart talk. i'm hoping your mom gets extra useful. lower back, sorry on your loss. i'm constructive brighter days will head your way quickly.

you need to go to therapy, together and her all by herself. Maybe involve her father as well. Make it an enjoyable experience, make sure you keep her memory alive. At least you care, most would not. I strongly suggest the therapy but make sure you all go together, don't just throw her in there by herself. Good luck

Just dont talk about it alot and when you do try to calm her down, it's hard to lose someone you love expecially someone so close just show her, her mom would be proud of her. Dont act like your trying to take her mothers place either just love her and show her your there for her.

Give it time. 3 years isn't much when you've lost a parent.
