I am being stalked by someone that I have never been able to get close enough to identify. The face always seems to be obscure. I went to the cops but they say they cannot do anything without some type of proof. They also cannot issue a restraining order without a name. They are always in different vehicles, or on foot. I tried several times to chase after them but to no prevail. When I look at them all they do is constantly stare at me and put their hands over their lips, kind of like “Shhhh-ing” me. Sometimes they leave little things on my doorstep such as a few grains of wild rice, or a piece of paper with the word "Returns" on it. I do not know what to do anymore. SOMEONE PLEASE ADVISE AND HELP ME! !

Sorry, but you might want to see a doctor. The same thing happened to one of my family friends and it turned out that he was ill. Beyond that I can't offer much advice. Good luck.

You say, "they" -- are there more than one stalker? I can understand the cops not being able to help, since there really hasn't been anything going on. The things you describe are pretty innocuous -- in other words, leaving grains of rice on your doorstep doesn't really constitute harassment, and seems quite harmless. It could be a shy admirer, or just kids playing pranks. Do you have a friend or escort who could accompany you, are you still living at home with your parents? Without much information, I'm sorry that I can't be of more help. I think I'd just ignore the situation, and eventually they'll get tired of harassing you.

get a video camera and have it trained at the porch so that you can videotape it without the camera or you being seen. Then, when they put more shiz on your doorstep you'll catch them on tape. Hopefully they're not wearing anything over their face. Also, having a friend or two around is a good idea. There's safety in numbers! Good luck!

Start taking your camera with you on outings...see if you can get some happy snaps of them, set up a web cam near your door and record all movements going to and from it...
Get the license plate numbers and make sure you keep a log of all the times and places you see them...See if you can track them back to where they live...WITHOUT being seen so you have an address to give police...

Lastly...Hire a private eye to track them.

If they find nothing you might want to seek some professional help...you could be suffering from paranoia...just a thought...

The first thing is never go out alone. Maybe you should try wearing an ugly disguise or ask a guy friend to act like he's asking them for directions so that he can get a closer look at the guy.

Try to get license plate numbers. Start carrying a camera around with you and try to get pictures of them or their car or anything that will be helpful in the future.

Get some friends/ family members help.
Seriously this could turn out really bad.
Set up some cameras around your doorstep so that when he comes to drop it off you can catch his face.
