if they are boys, then they are probably just marking their territory. male dogs (and i heard espaecially labs for some reason) do that a lot. whenever they do, rub their nose in it, yell "no!", and spank them. the spankings and harshness of your voice will get the message across that you're mad at them. and im not talkin a little pat here or there. spank them and let them know you are mad. just like a little kid. and then put them outside. but do NOT let them in for a good while when they whine and cry to be let in. let them know that they are supposed to do their business OUTSIDE, not inside. they will remember what you spanked them for and the result is being put outside and not being let in. therefore, if they want to stay inside, they wont pee in the house, but remember that outside is when and where to do it.

I have a new puppy, and after reading up on puppy care and housebreaking, I've learned a few things...
Here are a couple of excerpts I've gotten from www.peteducation.com...
"Whenever dogs urinate or defecate, specific scent chemicals are passed with the urine and feces. The smell of these substances triggers an elimination reflex in dogs that is not unlike the territorial marking of their wild relatives. Dogs naturally return to an area where these scent chemicals are present, thus creating 'scent posts,' places where dogs consistently eliminate.
Cleaning up accidents thoroughly is critical to preventing the creation of scent posts in your home. With scent capacities estimated to be a hundred times greater than humans, dogs can easily detect urine and fecal odors that have been cleaned with conventional household cleaners, carpet shampoos, and ammonia. The result can be a distressing pattern of repeated accidents in the same spot.
To prevent your dog from making scent posts in your home, first blot the area with a rag or towel to remove as much of the dampness as possible. Then treat the area with a chemical odor remover that uses natural anti-microbial enzymes to break down and neutralize the odor. These are the only products that attack the molecular structure of the odor-causing bacteria, as opposed to simply covering up the odor."
Hope that helps!

When they do it, rub their nose in it, slap them on the butt, and say "No!" loudly, or shake a tin can with three or four small rocks in it to make a loud noise. They only learn by association, and sometimes it seems mean but they need to learn that bad things happen when they pee inside the house. Since there are several other male dogs, it may be a dominance thing.

sounds to me like you have to many dogs to begin with but anyway. We used bleach in a spray bottle to stop our dog from peeing in the house dab some on the places they tend to pee an they won't like the smell an find someplace else might I suggest cleaning off the pee areas as well to get the scent out

You have six dogs in the house? Why would anyone who obviously knows nothing about training dogs have six of them in a new house with leather furniture?
You have to catch them doing it. When you see one of them about to do it, yell loudly and flail your arms at him, then chase him outside. Dogs don't understand words but they understand inflection. Sound angry and mean.
It does absolutely no good to "punish" him after the fact. Dogs aren't cognitive thinkers and will not understand if you rub their noses in something they did five minutes ago.

Labs should be outside dogs, it also sounds like you have too many male dogs, if they are not neutered they may be fighting for alpha position, who is top dog. That many dogs in the house is a problem, they should all be strictly outside dogs.
