If god really exists (which I am questioning), why leave instructions to so many different tribes... to be interpreted in so many different ways by millions of faithful? Is god applying the old adage of "dividing to better control"? Is God an empiric builder who likes to modify its constructs? Is god bored and in need of seeing its creatures fighting over flawed sets of rules? Or are these writs the products of different human minds of different epochs and culture and thus in contradiction?

You've hit the nail on the head.

God, religion etc are man-made concepts. They are used to keep the likes of you and I under control.

Get out there, ignore the 'instructions' and enjoy your life. Don't become a gullible follower of a man-made creation.

He kept leaving instructions because man kept getting it wrong.

Things were left out of text or translated wrong. With translation something always gets lost.

This is why when he sent his final messenger the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) the message part of it was that it was never to change and that it was always to remain in Arabic.

The Quran that Muslim read today is the same as the first book form written. Two copies survive till today of the first Qurans and they are exactly like every other modern printed Quran today.

This can not be said about any Christian Bible nor of the Torah

All men are creared to carry out an ever-advancing civilization.
If they have all knowledge and can do properly all things, they may claim to be gods and kill each other much more brutally.
Any man realizes that he is a created being, he humbly learns the progressive lessons of His Creator, he can thankfully and happily conduct a human life at the height of his time; otherwise he keeps on living as self-righteous gods.

It's just human problem, not a God problem - God don't leave instructions, we have Free Will, remember?

Also, don't forget, we are just a speck in the solar system, which is just a speck in the galaxy, which is just a speck in the universe... if God left instructions with every race and every tribe, we would get nowhere.

God's instructions are very very simple really. Love yourself, love your neighbour. Everything else is just human BS.

The simplest, and most probable, explanation is that human beings came up with these varying sets of rules and attributed them to God/gods as a way of imbuing them with some kind of moral legitimacy.

There is but one true God, and salvation thru His Son, Jesus.

There is also the deceiver who has created many false gods (allah, hatred, greed, lust, etc) to distract and keep us away from the love and mercy of God.

Don't confuse the two.

She ( ha ha) didn't. It ALL came from human beings. And in truth we have no idea what the heck we are doing here. Don't sweat it. Just be good to yourself and others and leave organized religion alone. Good luck.
