We are going to Georgia for Thanksgiving. It is a 13hr drive from here. I am sure he won't be a happy baby. Any ideas you have would be helpful. Thank you

I would want to stay home and not deal with it. Lie and say he's sick and you can't travel.. lol. Well for me a DVD player always helps and try to leave when he has a full tummy that will always help. But 13 hours wow that's long.. Good luck to you!

I have friends who drive their kids from IL to FL every year without much trouble. They start the drive late in the day (after dinner) and have the kids watch a DVD until they fall asleep. They then keep driving as long as they can while the kids sleep. Somehow they get them into a hotel to finish the night sleeping. The second day they do fun stuff during the day (museum, swimming, etc.) then repeat the process to finish the rest of the drive. Good luck!

Make sure you stop enough to let him get out and run. If you do the trip in just one day I would start it at his bedtime and hopefully he just sleeps through the night while you drive. A new car toy is always good, snacks and a DVD player always comes in very handy. Baby Einstein videos are pretty entertaining for this age.
