My nose hasnt bled since I was about 24, Im 33 now, but Ive always been curious about this. And when I say bleed, I mean BLEED. It would 'pour blood' like someone turned on a faucet. NOT SQUIRTING, but coming out fast and for a long time. My granddad freaked out once and rushed me to the hospital when I was very very young. Once a doctor set a long wooden Q-tip on fire and SHOVED it up my nose when I was around 7, THAT SUCKED. It did nothing to keep it from bleeding in the future. At times I would wake up and my pillow would be SOAKED in blood and my mom would be cleaning me.Or I would just be sitting there doing school work, and suddenly my paper would be all bloody with NO warning. Ive always been a pale child. I come from an irish american indian heritage. I also find that I cant fight anyone without blacking out within a minute, without the nose problem just everything goes black and without being struck, just the struggle itself. Doctors dont know why my nose bled. I DONT PICK IT.

My nephew (who I raised) had the same problem. We were told, by more than 1 doctor, that young males have a higher incidence of nose bleeds, and it is not uncommon for them to last into their 20's. They told us that usually it is caused by having a "dry" nose. We started keeping a teapot of water on the stove, especially in the winter, since the heat, causes the air in houses to be dry. Of course we kept the pot on a low heat, and let it simmer and that put moisture in the air. This did help with his nosebleeds. He also had blood that poured out of his nose, and it took a long time to stop it.
You might ask your doctor about the blacking out. I'm pretty sure this is due to the stress and adrenaline from the struggle of fighting. (Kind of like a person fainting).
This is the only explanation the doctors gave us about our nephew, but they don't seem concerned about the problem either. They have assured us that he is not a Hemophiliac, and he is not Anemic.

my brother used to get nosebleeds a lot too. he would be asleep, and when he woke up, he was covered in blood. I can remember tweaking his nose, and blood would gush. when we were in florida, he had a nosebleed so bad that we almost had to take him to the hospital (and would have had to skip out on disney)

He also has autism, and because of that, my mom started taking him to a homeopath, for natural remedies. they worked really well. Then one day, when my brother had been having numerous nosebleeds that week, even up to 3 times a day, my mom was asking his homeopath about it. the guy just looked at my mom and said "is he, by any chance, scared of thunderstorms?" My mom was amazed, my brother was terrified of thunderstorms. He prescribed a remedy for my brother (apparently the first one they learn about) and within the week, his nosebleeds ere slowing down, and the next time there was a thunderstorm, he didn't even notice! There is a definite link, my uncle used to get nosebleeds, really bad ones, and he used to be really scared of thunderstorms too.

I don't know exactly why you used to get nosebleeds, but i just thought you might be interested.

I used to get nosebleed maybe not as much as you are getting but the last doctor I saw about my nosebleed suggested catherizing. He did and I have not gotten any nosebleed since. That was over twenty years ago.
