If they pinch, take them back to the dentist and explain exactly where they pinch. They can fix them. The cotton feeling and the difficulty talking will go away after time. You just have to get used to them.

Return to the dentist. He or she will be able to see by the redness of your gums just where the dentures are irritating you. In a simple procedure, the high spots on the dentures can be ground down. As for the dry mouth, there are mouthwashes and toothpastes designed to relieve that. Ask the pharmacist. If you are a mouth breather, that can make your mouth dry, too. Remember to breathe through your nose.

You definetly need to have your dentures adjusted. You didn't state how long you have had them but I'm assuming not long since you still have the cotton mouth. I know you probably don't want to hear this but in time you will not have so much discomfort. The best advice I can give is not to get discouraged and don't go without them for long periods of time. The longer you wear them the sooner you will adjust. Hang in there and good luck.

Ware them, your mouth will conform to them in time.
