My co worker told me that it was her duty to spread the word of god . She also said that I was on my way to hell and she felt it necessary to save me. Do all christians feel this way? Am I going to hell because my beliefs are different?

There is no Hell, so....

No.

And no, not all Christians are so insanely rude. They aren't all so pompous and presumptuous and RUDE. I can't stress enough how completely rude she is.

Do not pay any attention to your Christian fanatic co-worker. They are truly a danger to themselves and others, and should be ignored. Unfortunately, there is no shortage of those types in the US and are the cause of many social problems. The concept of taking control of ones self and being whole and complete without a deity, is foreign to Christians; they should be avoided like the plague! Ask her what "hell" she is referring to, the Christian one or the Hell on earth! There is EVIL everywhere, and this evil has nothing to do with Christianity or any other organized religion. By the way, the Christian doctrine is man made to keep people subordinate to the upper classes. It is a HOAX!! Your president Bush uses Christianity as a tool to fool his followers while feeding his pathological ego to fulfill imperialistic ideations. He is a Mad man indeed! How does the truth feel?

Ask your co-worker this: Who did Jesus ever tell they were going to hell? I find it sad and disturbing that her idea of "the word of God" means telling people they're going to hell. Last time I checked, I thought Christians were supposed to be spreading "the Good News." Which I take to mean God's grace and love. I have a lot of other things I can think of that you could tell her...

Don't sweat it Danny ... she feels like she's doing the right thing, People are drawn to the belief system where they can learn the most. Once all value is extracted from that belief system, they are drawn to something else. All religions have value and everyone is where they are supposed to be. All paths lead to the same destination ... some paths will merely get you to the destination sooner.

I can't speak for any Christians at all because I'm an atheist. But it's annoying, isn't it, when someone tries to tell you what's going to happen to you. They're an overgrown version of the overbearing mother who makes her kids wear vests in July "because you'll get a chill". Except we're not her kids. There should be some kind of register we can have these people listed on.

Christians believe that if you do not ask for forgiveness from god for your sins and if you do not believe that Jesus died on the cross for you then you will essentially go to hell.

You can only go to hell if you believe in it and then do the things you need to do to get in according to your belief. Nobody else can send you to hell.

There is not the merest fragment of evidence to support the existence of heaven or hell. Of course if you believe in things without evidence (like most Christians) then that's not much help.

Wishing someone to hell is probably the worst thing a person could do so she is probably the one going.
