If you mean he's overseas, something that I enjoyed was simply snacks, and a lot of them. Do Not, and I say again, Do Not send him any peanutbutter cheese cracker sandwiches, we get those in the MRE's and we hate them. Depending on what kind of person he is, try sending him puzzle books, crosswords and such, something that he can entretain himself with. If he owns a video game system, try finding games on sale that you can send him. Use your imagination, Oh, and don't send anything that will melt or break easily. Besides anything you send will be greatly appreciated. Good Luck.

Last year I sent my husband a small xmas tree (about a foot tall) with little ornaments and battery operated lights and a xmas cd to listen to while he decorated it (all 5 seconds that took! lol) I also went to World Market and got a basket and filled it up with all the sausages and cheeses, mustards etc like you'd get in a hickory farms thing (but they have a better variety and I liked being able to handpick everything) He said he had to carry that box around with him b/c everybody found out he had it and wanted it. I also sent him a dart board and some handheld games....that some jerk stole!.... And some homemade cookies (they actually travel ok if you put them in a tin box without alot of air in it) and a candle that smelled like a pumpkin pie.He still says that was the best xmas gift ever b/c it made him think about how at ours and his mom's house we'd always have snacks around and always have something baking. Plus don't forget pictures of yourself!

Well my first suggestion is to hurry because the holiday mail will soon be here. I would ask him a few questions first, for example how much free time does he get. Is he inside or out of the FOB/LSA most of the time. OK with that been said if he gets plenty of time to himself then i would suggest, New Cd's of his favorite artist we tent to fall way behind on music. Movies even though we might get movies here the quality is no comparison to movies back home. IT seems to me everyone has an IPOD don't let him be the one without lol.If he doesn't have to much time watching movies and playing games might be to time consuming. I always love pictures of G/F WIFE or KIDS can never get to tire of that. BOOKS, PUZZLES things that you can carry in your pocket and knock out if you have a few min of free time. I think calling cards are a great help and depending on the location of his FOB/LSA even though it sounds silly hygiene products. I hope i was some help. SSG M

My hubby appreciated anything that passed the time over there. I sent him an iPod and he got a lot of use out of that. Also anything that reminds him of how much you miss him, like a video message or photos... I sent my hubby a new movie every month since he had access to a t.v and dvd player. The other guys watching the movie with him appreciate it, too.

i was in the military and from experience anything you send him that means something to both of you is the best thing, something he can hold and think of you, something small.

you can always send dvd's and a little dvd player or an ipod (or something similar). they can always use socks, deoderant, toiletries, baby wipes, hand sanatizer, foot powder, etc. (but i am sure you knew that) once i sent my hubby some dirty pictures....i think that was his favorite thing
