ok so this year i have decided to collect money from around my neighborhood and at school for the poor for christmas i have been around poor people at christmas and its not very pleasant..i know how they feel and what their going through i too was in their shoes once and i went through some hard stuff growing up so this year at least what i can do is to give a little back so with the money we'll buy blankets and jackets clothing shoes toys for the kids etc...so does this sound like an ok idea i really want to help..do you think people will give money their are a lot of stingy people out there so im hoping for the best

yeah i know that they might think im trying to jack their money why would i jack anyones money i have money of my own im ****** rich....but i understand what your saying ill take pictures of the poor people and make a scrapbook

Good luck. People are more likely to give to an organization than to an individual, for obvious reasons.

Keep careful documentation of what you take in and what you spend or the IRS will expect you to pay income tax.- Personally, I'd go with toys. Kids will always have clothes, and the idea is to make Christmas special.

During the holidays people are more giving, but remember some people give only to their personal charities, but I'm sure you will get donations, Good-Luck!!

If you truly want to help, volunteer for an established organization. They always need help.
