If Word won't save it as a jpeg (try the File Format menu when you Save), then open it in Photoshop which will let you save it as a jpeg.

If you have Microsoft Paint on your computer, open that up. Select the picture, copy and paste it into a new document in Paint, and go to the save menu. BEFORE YOU CLICK SAVE, you'll see a drop-down menu that says like, bit-map (*.bmp), jpeg, etc. click on JPEG and that'll do it!

File. "Save As..." and then underneath where you type the file name, there should be a dropdown bar. Choose JPEG and click save! All done.

Right click on the picture and save it to your desktop. Open the picture in an image editor (IrfanView, GIMP) and save as a jpg file.
