Christians: I'm sure you are all familiar with 1 Peter 3:15 (Be ready to defend your faith, etc...). My question is why do you (or to be more precise, why should I) believe Christianity is the truth?

The interesting thing is that the various christian sects can't even agree among them selves.
Many of them see their own particular variety as the one true and only. They even say that they are the only ones going to Heaven.
If they can't even agree amongst themselves how are the rest of us supposed to believe this nonsense is the truth.

What is your definition of truth?
Truth is in the eye of the beholder. Things can be true for some and false to others, it depends on how you look at it. God is the ultimate truth. His truth has been shrouded in centuries of deceit and lies carried on by self-righteous egotistical individuals who think that they have the authority to dictate who and what is God. Those people are burning for their insolence.
I believe that it is your quest to ascertain what is truth from falsehood. How do you do that? Well, you need to have faith and trust in Jesus and what he did.
God = Truth Jesus = The Way to the Truth
With a good heart and open mind you'll see the truth. But not untill you are reborn. You must be reborn in Christ Jesus so you can forget about the lies and deceit that has been force fed down your throat since infancy. Look at the picture from all sides instead of looking through that one pair of fixed eys that you have grown up learning to do. Jesus will guide you through your quest if you are willing to open your heart and mind to him. He will allow everything to be looked at from His perspective. His perspective is love. The truth is in His love. Believe in him and you'll be saved....if your willing.

if you want to live a lie its up to you. My cousin was sychitsophrentic and would talk to people that were'nt their she thought she was the queen of egypt sometimes or maybe someone else. Even though you might not act like her but in reality its just make believe and their is no truth to it. sink your self into the truth and try to grow in wisdom , kniowledge, and fruits of the spirit, by doing this you will gain self satisfaction as well as spiritual wealth. you will find a new father. The Father of LIFE You may say well i need to ware a suit go to church and never have fun i say bull @#$% i found my father out in his creation jesus introduced himself to me in many ways but creation has alot to do with it

If you knew me you would know I am a changed person and I couldn't have done it myself :-)
There's a great book called "The Signature of God" by Grant Jeffrey which provides scientific back-up for the bible and gives convincing evidence that the scriptures can be trusted.

Why do I believe...........
I believe because I have seen too many miracles in life to doubt God's presense and the bible and all its contents just seem too make sense..........of course you can always wait until the rapture, know that we warned you and then have no choice but to believe but why would you want to go through 7 years of pain and suffering when you could believe now instead of wanting solid proof because someone can always debate you on your beliefs
