do you find it strange for a 30 yr old man to be intrested in an 18 yr old as a serious relationship??or age shouldn't be a factor when you both like each others??or is it just plain weird?

i'm not going out with him i like him but he's 30 and it's creepy and i'm not stupid when it comes to older guys and what they view an 18yr old girl as i'm just asking a question

age normally isn't a factor, when it's a few yrs apart, not 12. what interests would a 30 yr old guy have that a 18 yr old would share, and visa versa? it's a little wierd. also, when did the relationship start? before she was 18? statutory rape, all there is to it. find someone your own age.

on the surface it would seem there is an issue, but that's the problem with today's world, we always look at the superficial things and don't get to the reality of life.
these two people may very well have a good connection and are suited to each other, so their ages shouldn't be a barrier.
they both need to realise they are at different stages in their lives and will find times of disharmony, but if they are open and honest with each other then there's no reason why they can't make their relationship work.

It really depends on the individuals. A male at any age can be very easily interested in a 18 year old, visually. It just depends is the female mature? He may be looking for a hot young girlfriend, to show off or he may be looking for someone he can very easily take advantage of. If the female is mature, she will be able to tell the difference.

YES it is just plain weird!!!!!!!How can u be interested in a 30 yr old man when there is tons of hot looking guys your age! GO to the beach!!!!!!!!You probably just like how he is older and wiser and he is finantially stable.Thats like u having an 8 yr old daughter and having her date an 20 yr old....would you want that?

It's weird, creepy, and awkward. If he's not a pedafile, then he obviously doesn't have enough going for him to get someone his own age. Age difference alone doesn't really matter, but if there's a big gap like that, there are usually way too many "experience" differences to make it work well.

It's weird and when one person is a teenager, age DOES matter. He wants a teenager so he can feel in control, and like the big daddy in the relationship.
When the teenager girl is 28 and he's 40, then the age matters less.

Being 12 years apart is kind of a large age difference but it isn't that bad. My uncle just got married to a girl 14 years younger than him in July. If they love each other, then it's okay.

That's not against the law and certainly not being a pedophile...but it is weird. I think you could find each other attractive, but beyond that...what? At 18, someone is still really immature and hasn't experienced enough of the world. I think it would be really boring to date someone that much younger than myself.
