When I go camping, these are the foods I eat. When you say inside, I am asumming you are cooking on a coleman grill in a tent? (Camping in a trailer, or Winnebago is not true camping in my book)
Hot dogs and Beans.
Slice 6 hotdogs in pieces
A 20oz can of baked beans
Heat them together until hot
Have bread on the side to sop up the liquid
Add extra BBQ sauce or hot sauce for more flavor.
Chili over toasted bread, heat a can of chili, serve in a bowl over bread.
Campfire Hash (my own recipe)
5 eggs, blended
6 strips of bacon sliced in chunks
1/2 a chopped yellow onion
2 slices of white toast cut in cubes
Salsa (optional)
Crisp the bacon in a skillet
add the onion, saute until almost cooked, about 2 minutes
add the bread (it soaks up the bacon fat)
pour in your eggs, and stir until cooked
Serve with salsa on top, if desired
Quick chicken stew
2 cups of chopped chicken, white, or dark
1 cup of chopped carrots
1 cup of peeled, chopped potatoes
1/2 a chopped onion
1/2 a cup chopped celery, if you have it (optional)
1 clove of chopped garlic
Simmer the chicken in water in a medium pot, until cooked, also making a chicken broth
add your carrots, cook 1 minute
add potatoes, cook at a boil for 3 to 4 minutes, until nearly cooked
add celery, onion, and garlic
salt and pepper to taste
Pour over warm frech bread, or any kind, its quick, easy, and cheap.
Good Camping Eats!
Just a plain steak w/steak sauce, and a can of vegetables (my favorite is green beans) is also good but tastes best over a fire to me!

I watched Rachel Rae the other day and she had a Canadian Scout leader give a great camping tip on cooking. All you need is a way to boil water, a good sized pot to do it in and seal-able baggies. Just about anything can be boiled in a bag to be cooked. They even boiled a cake mix and it turned out pretty well. I'm sure they still have a link for it at her website, www.rachelrae.com .

Assuming you have some method of heating water your best bet for something warm and filling while camping would probably be one of those pasta dishes where you just add hot water and let it sit for a minute.

When I was pregnant, I would crave a ice cream & pickles sandwich, french fries w/ rasberry filled doughnut and the final touch was bbq chips.... all these together in the middle of sour bread, sounds really gross but it tasted like heaven to me.... thats one of my wierd sandwiches....
