Yes, it can. Just ask a Greek that question. The 4th Crusade was when Constantinople was sacked, and the Greek Orthodox couldn't understand how the Roman Catholics could stand on their altars desecrate their holy places in ways that I cannot speak about here. They raped women and burned churches down. And made off with icons, relics, and many beautiful things the churches had. Now in the spirit of ecumenicalism, the Pope has been returning some things that had been stolen, like the relics of Saint Gregory the Theologian.

The Crusades were about war and power, nothing more. Nothing good came from them, and the Orthodox Christians suffered much from them.

Of course!

The crusades have not been forgot - the victor is often the first to forget the horrors of the battle.

Every religion has used their God as an excuse to persecute and butcher others. It's happening now, and will continue to do so.

Oh for a world without religion.
