$15.00 would be a good price for tutoring a high school student. You could charge about $20. (I live in California where everything is higher ....)

contained in the realm that I coach, most of the licensed instructors are charging $50-70/hour. a number of the decrease elementary purely value $40/hr, and the highschool math, technology, and overseas language instructors value $seventy 5+ in step with hour. that is the Northern Virginia section (Fairfax, McLean, DC). even as i began charging $50/hr, i replaced into informed that my prices were very low for my skills. I have taught in some diverse parts, and tutors prices extremely many times correspond with their skills. The extremely solid tutors do value extra. You get what you pay for. one ingredient is understanding the concern count number, and yet another is understanding the thanks to coach. That being reported, there are some tremendous college (or perhaps severe college scholars) who're solid at tutoring. they're few and far between, yet there really are some accessible, and the prices might want to be in route of $20-25/hr in case you flow privately. even as people go by agencies they pay a lot more effective than that and customarily get someone without skills or who've strengths not contained in the realm they're tutoring (as an example, college English majors tutoring math).
