Yes Muslims and Christians support the same general facets.
The Muslim and the Jew came from the same Father, Father Abrahaim.
When discussing what the Infidel is, it becomes apparent there are infidels who are Christain and those who are Muslim. The Infidel is the Infidel within.

ok you need to realize that christians dont control the media. the people in power dont give a rats behind what the masses worship they care about money and power. Keeping people fighting over religion by keeping the war drums beeting sells guns bombers and napalm. The same lie told on the other side keeps evil men in power who steel from there own people.
You have bought into the lie, that is is muslims against christians. That is not true. It is the people, muslim and christian against the ones who sell the hate and sell the guns.
You bought into the lie you have been told to beleive. Start thinking and looking around you. Christians dont kill people they feed people and try and help the poor. If there killing people they are not christians they cant be its impossible. the same goes for muslims . Muslims feed the poor and help the needy . If they are killing people they are not muslims. You cant be both its impossible. You either love god or you dont.

What you hear is 100% dictated to you through what the Western media wants/thinks you should hear. THAT is why you have such a warped image of muslims.
Muslims people are as diverse as Christian people - some liberal, some extremely strict, some bent on a polictical agenda (for Christens, see the anti-abortionist groups who have been known to bomb clinics).
In addittion, what you see as 'fair' Christians is just the perception you have been fed - the bombing in Afganistan and Iraq and support of Isreal can all be seen as aggression by Christians. It is a tiny proportion of Muslims who are engaging in the activities you describe, just as it a tiny proportion (although a far larger figure) who are engaging in killing muslims around the world.
"Don't believe the hype!"

I agree that Christians are a loving, forgiving, and caring, but when Christians are murdered for know reason, when we are hurt even when we have nothing to do with what happens in their country, it is hard not to feel hate and want revenge on the Muslims that caused it. We should just try to remember it is not all Muslims. We have a hard time not stereo typing people. Finally, is Bin Laden, who is Muslim, Like you and me, I think not.

Yes we are people. Jihad is not just killing people, it is doing it in the name of God. But it does not mean you can kill people in the name of Allah and it is alright. The only time one should fight is when they are being fought. Even if someone was to attack a muslim, and then stopped, we are not allowed to continue fighting back because revenge is wrong.
[2.190] ...fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you...[2.191] And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers.
Suicide is also wrong in Islam:
The Prophet (pbuh) said, "Whoever intentionally swears falsely by a religion other than Islam, then he is what he has said, (e.g. if he says, 'If such thing is not true then I am a Jew,' he is really a Jew). And whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet (pbuh) said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him."
Unhappiness? I am very happy, and so are many many other muslims. What do you mean by unhappiness? What is the difference between a muslim and a christians happiness. Are we unhappy because we believe that Jesus is not the son of God but he is a prophet? I am very happy actually. I am EXTREMELY happy, no matter what.

Well here's something for you to consider ... . . . Musims account for about 1 billion of the 6 billion people on earth. (rough numbers, it's actually a little higher) And all recent estimates indicate that 10-15% of Muslims follow the teachings of the Radical Islam--Terrorists viewpoint.... Simple math will show that approx. 100,000,000 follow Radical Islam. And the estimates of 'silent' followers is much, much higher. That means that over 100 million Muslims are agreeing with the teachings of Radical Islam. That scares alot of people . We are witnessing the hijacking of an entire religion, before our very eyes. Watch the new movie " Obsession-- Radical Islam's War on the West ". A pure documentary that has shaken the lives of everyone who's seen it.

Yes I agree with you, people are led like sheep they only want to hear the bad things, many countries seem to do what they like and other countries or religions are condemned.
Israel seem to do what they like and it does not get the publicity like others why?.
I suppose it is a matter of survival too many times have other countries try to control other lands.

Only muslim idiots and extremists are standing up and shouting.
As we only get to hear from one extreme side of muslims we are led to beleive there is only one side - the extremists that everyone hates.
I'm pleased to see an increasing number of questions and answers on here from sane sensible muslims denouncing the fanatics and informing us of the virtues of their religion.
May the good people of Islam find a strong and loud voice and be given the media support to broadcast it.

i refuse to take part in this self-pitying islam "woe is us" nonsense. muslims get a "raw deal" because they're the ones blowing themselves up, kidnapping people, demanding respect for their customs while respecting nobody else's. i have as much respect for islamic history as anyone, but you're kidding yourself if you think it's "unfair" for islam to be cast in a negative light, given the variety of violence in which muslims seem to be involved.
you get the perception you deserve. if you don't like it, fix it, but don't blame the perceivers for a problem you make.
