Is our nation truly "Under God"?While the answer is obvious to some, some people have various thoughts of a God of some sort helping(or doing otherwise) America.
So,of course,I am here to hear them-oh,I mean SEE them....

You're asking this of the most powerful nation on the face of the earth???

Of course God has blessed us. We didn't put all those immense resources in the ground of this continent; nor did we save it from being used before our people settled here. God had planned this blessing for us for a very long time.

But now, as we move farther and faster away from God and his Ways, he will take more and more of those blessings away; until finally, he takes us away!

The Lord blesses those that act in a blessed manner; those that bless others.

America has been blessed with many things & freedoms unavailable to most of the rest of the world's population. But overall, we use that freedom to condemn & villify others, rather than blessing them.

So YES... God has blessed America... with the power to save or damn the rest of the world. Let's make the right decisions.

God per say has nothing to do with blessing of any country , the blessings of a country is an anachronism ... used by the people that feels blessed , God is out of the human luck or no luck business , it is the human initiative and freedoms of government that leads to have a successful country , and you could say that America is doing OK only!!

Does it say God will bless any nation, in the last days? Plus, under what God? God is merely a title word, not a name. Do we assume it means the same to everyone?

What have we done to receive God´s blessings?

I bet that´s the questions that matters after all, and the one that we as a nation and government should start to ask.

Yes! That is what made America great. Today however, you can always use a looser translation to include the God of your understanding.

To take God out of the picture
(or oath) is to condemn the country to a downward slide. You can check out thousands of years of history and find the same thing. The decline of great cultures when they substituted morality for hedonistic pleasures.

Bottomline, without getting religious on you, just being spiritual is better than being for the self. Cause that is what is happening to America. Kinda the same thing happened to Rome.

Let's say, for arguement's sake, therer is no "proven" God. Well it's still a placebo effect to believe in a God...cause we certainly don't seem to be doing good throwing God out of our Pledge of allegience, etc.

I'm 45 and America was a great place to grow up in. We believed in a God and pledge our loyalty. We were "free" as free as can be. No pedophiles or kidnappers taking children (well not compared to today.)

Now there are increasing restrictions for everything, drugs, out of control violence and no one knows their neighbor. The daily news "fears" us and today is terror alert color poo.

So take a God out of a country (according to Thomas Jefferson) and you take the best part of that country with it... When you place yourself above a God of your understanding, there is no humblenss or humility. It's just a consumer society based on corruption and being brainwashed to lie, cheat and steal.

Today Americans go off in thousands of different directions instead of one. Surely divided we will fall while united we prosper.

There is only one government that God will bless. That is soon to come Kingdom of Heaven with Jesus as the king.

God can't bless a sinful nation. I believe he has turned his back because of the sin. No flesh will glory in his eyesight.

Shalom
