At worst its a pinched nerve, but I'm pretty sure its a sore muscle. I've had those feelings pleny of times because I slept wrong. It may not feel like it, but its ended up that way many times for me. Take some motrin or tyenol and make sure not to strain that muscle any more and it should go away (in a couple days). If it doesn't you should see a doctor.

If your talking about the back of your neck, this is called the cervical spine, it consists of seven vertebrae, you could say eight but? anyhow. Any one of these, most probably the top four are your problem, the third and fourth go into your arm and down to your fingers. They can burn like the devil but, they'll also go at times when it's bad to your fingertips so. If this is only in your neck it could be tendinitis in your clavicle shoulder. There's three bones and some tendons and cords, nerves going through there. These can all be a problem when it comes to something like tendinitis (infection) or Bursitis (like arthritis) Arthritis, we could go on and on but, right now when it's new and just starting, go see your doctor and tell him. It could save you a lot of problems down the line.
He'll probably have Cat scan or MRI's on after X-Rays, then he'll be able to address the situation and give you something for the pain and the problem. Good Luck.

Your immune system appears to be overloaded and stressed. It could also be an allergic reaction to some kind of food, quite common with all the GMO foods in the markets these days. Try to incorporate more greens in your diet and stay away from processed foods, limit meat intake. If you are able to, juicing organic kale, spinach, lettuce, chard, collard greens, etc. with fresh fruit to sweeten and drinking at least 2 glasses a day would be a good start to providing your body with the nutrients it needs. Transitioning gradually to a 75% or greater raw diet would help greatly toward bringing you back to health.
