did it have the same proposal as guantanamo bay (as in them being held captive as 'terrorists') or is it a whole different topic?

Abu Ghraib was turned over to the Iraqi government over a year ago.

They now use it for the same things we did - as a prison for criminals and terrorists.

BTW - the stories about torture are Gitmo are an urban myth. I know too many people who served there.

It is a prison. They put criminals in there and suspected terrorists. Yes it is still open (that I'm aware of).

Guantanamo is a different story-- that's a detention center for enemy combatants and terrorists.
