I believe that what you feed into your human being whilst alive on Earth will drive your spritual being in death..
Put simply.. if you think of death as a taboo.. it may well be a taboo for YOU..
For many others it is not a taboo..
Pain and being injured is a taboo.. that would suck.. but the spirtual being is what feels through life the mechanical being only carries the spirit.. this is why uthenasia is wrong.. it kills the spiritual being which is always alive and strong as long as the human being is alive.. even iff inactive.. it feels..
In death.. I believe the spirtual being remains alive and is infallible.. it simply drifts intop space.. ont oa nother planet.. or to be re-incarneted into another lifeform.. but that is really the great mystery of life.. and in my view is the taboo..
not death itself..
hope that makes sense to someone..

I find it easy to talk about it, but you are right, it is a taboo in our modern society. We don't want to recognize that death exists. If I had a terminal illness, I would hesitate to tell someone I had only a certain amount of time left to live, because they would give the knee-jerk reaction of saying: "Oh no, it's not that bad!" with the intent of encouraging me ? or of feeling better themselves. Anyway that isn't my case.
I don't expect to "pass", but to "die". On the other hand that's just my body. I will go to be with the Lord. Death doesn't frighten me. However I don't like the idea of pain. I would rather die than hurt. Also, I don't like the idea of a slow death with a lot of people having to spoon feed me or feed me through tubes, change me, etc... I have put in my will that I do not want extraordinary means used to keep me alive if ever anything happened, and I have told my family this several times so there wouldn't be any doubt.
Well death is not so frightening, I would fight to live, because I love life and have a purpose in life.

yes yes yes
death is the one thing you are born for
its the only pure innocent thing you will ever feel in your life
Jim Morrison once said that he wanted death to be slow,he wanted to taste it because he knew you'll never feel another feeling ever.
to be honest im scared out of my mind to die, seriously, scared sooooooooooooo much it hurts:(
i get totally freaked when i think of my family crying all around me,being in a coffin and all that.
im a catholic and doubting my religion at the minute, i suppose thats what a lot of teenagers to at my age....i like the thought of life after death, for my soul to rest with my family in heaven, but im not so sure.
i picture death as a very long lonely journey to new life
like a path that some force attracts us to the new, the never ending, the ever lasting...
what ever lifes mysteries are, i hope we find out one day.

My will specifically stipulates that I'm to be cremated, any cremains are to be placed in a paper sack, a trusted friend is to pick a random latitude and longitude and bury my ashes there without ever revealing to anyone else where the ashes went (I have encouraged that friend to dispose of them in the trash). I've also asked all family and friends to dispose of anything and everything that was of me, by me, from me, for me, etc.
In short, I want everyone I know todo everything possible to make sure that history has no chance to ever remember me.
When I die, that's it, that's the end, and I want it to stay that way.

I think we shouldn't think or even talk about our death: it's because we can do nothing to prevent it, then it's useless to spend energy for it. This doesn't prove death to be a taboo, it's only a mere fact as the sun to rise every morning. "Live as you would die tomorrow... " told someone, "but think as you wouldn't ever die" or some kind of it.

so long as the pain is over quick, and it's very far in the future, then it's all good.
and it better be something good. not a heart attack or cancer, or any disease. and not a car accident. But i also don't want to know when its comming. therefore, no plane crash.
well, i guess if i had to die like that, then the free fall for 10,000 is a nice way to end it on a high note.

Death of the body is the beginning of the spiritual life.
Death of the soul, due to disobedience to the Will of God, is eternal death.
You can obtain mountains of information in the Holy Books which are now easily accessible on the Internet.

And the last "enemy" to be destroyed is "Death".
Thanks be to God Who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We tremble as we approach dying. I am sure most fear the prospects of dying; but a Christian never meed fear Death.
We pass through the Valley of the SHADOW of death.
