I am attracted to my doctor who is young and not married. On several occasions I can tell by his body language that he is flirting with me. Although I know that we can not date each other because he is my doctor I wanted to know is it all in my head or is he really attracted to me. The other day after talking to him he told me it was a pleasure to talk to me. Is that something men normally say to women or only to women they're attracted to?

first off, take the idea of you can't out of your head, hey if an actress can go to another country and become a princes..so can you become a doctor's wife...
some of what the others is kind of true...he may be just acting real nice, well because he may be REAL nice guy...but just maybe he is flirting with you.. and you are correct about the body language.....so why not just say something to him...hey if you mess this one up and some other female gets him first..your going to be so unhappy for so so long...maybe even your life...if it was me...I would mention it to him the very next time you see him....make is plain and simple... I have a couple of old sayings here..God Helps Those Who Helps Themselves.... You will never know unless you ask... Will You be Ready When Opportunity Comes Knocking at your door?... and don't look a gift horse in the mouth....if you want it go for it...sorry but THEY ALL APPLY TO YOU! ! ! ..do not I repeat ..DO NOT LISTEN to anyone who tells you to stay away....go for it..hey if I thought a female Doc was into me...I would be right there saying it like it is..why let it go by, you may never ever get another chance like this in your life time..GO FOR IT..plain and simple..it is so easy, just do it...
or do you want me to do it for you?
you have to do it..
the worse that can happen is he says you read me wrong....you move on..
the best that could happen is..you have a KNIGHT in shinning armor by your side for the rest of your life..

if you were my sister, I would have made you do it or I would have done it for you...

do not wait...

good luck

It could be that he is just trying to put you at ease. I personally say it's been nice to talk to someone if it has been. It doesn't imply interest beyond the friendship. Even if he is interested, you already said you know he's your doctor, and that you can't date. Knowing this, the best thing to do is realise nothing is going to happen, and forget about him as anything more than your doctor.

That phrase means very little, he could easily say that to all of his patients. It's called being nice. Now, if he said with an alluring smirk that says, "Hey better, I'd like to see you undressed for other reasons." Then that would be a hint that he liked you... or that he was a creep.

If you feel that distracted or uncomfortable, get a different doctor.

He's just being polite. Your doctor took a Hippocratic Oath to never make a pass at a patient. He would lose his license FOREVER if that happened. Find another man.

wait... youre basing his attraction on "it was a pleasure talking to you" ?
that means nothing. No matter how lame a doctor is he´s still a pretty bright guy and he would find a safe but clear way of letting you know he wants you. sorry.

O gosh. This brings back memories of a Dct. I was interested in. I would read his body language just like you said. Does he bring up personal questions that do not relate to your visit? If so I would say theres a good chance he wishes he was involved in your personal life. Always go with your gut feeling, usually we are always right. Take the chance and see if he wants to go to a dinner one night. If he says no its simple JUST CHANGE DOCTORS!!!

dont go there!!
He's just being nice and polite, It is unethical for a doctor to behave in this way.
He risks loosing his job.
I think your reading him wrong

That is a tough one. You might want to ask another question to yahoo to see if a doctor is allowed to date their patient. I doubt it though. Who knows. Good luck! If you really like him maybe you can say something like "If I get a new doctor can I see you outside the office?" You have nothing to loose, but your doctor :)
