don't say anything and leave room quickly but with coolness and let them discover the fowl smell for themselves after you’ve left. if it so happens that you "let loose your inner bubble" and you cannot leave the room, laugh along with every one else, try not to point any fingers at a person who is suspected of the noise. If you let loose a tremendous noise that cannot be discerned from who’s backside it cam forth, say that you must leave the room because you...well make something convincing up and try not to make you voice crack under the strain of controlling your face, stifling a laugh, or collapsing under the weight of embarrassment. hope that helps you in you smelliest moments.

Well, where I work it's not a matter of blaming anyone or fessing up...you've almost got to let people know it's coming first or everyone else will be claiming it's theirs.
Yes, I work in a very fart-friendly place.

You should do neither. You get the Etiquette answer since you asked here.
One is assumed not to be in control of flatulence. Anyone saying or doing anything that draws attention to it, including the "culprit," is rude. Everyone is supposed to politely pretend that nothing happened.
This is different from a burp, which one is assumed to be in control of, and requires an "excuse me."
I don't make the rules, but I know about them!

my friend farted real loud 2day in class!we all knew it was him, laughed a bit and then just forgot bout it! i confess to it! i mean wotz one fart gonna do?unless like you get fired 4 dooin it, which would be stupid, in which case blame it on someone else!heehee
