i have this friend who is a girl. we have established many times that we like each other, but she claims not to want to be with me right now because she is afraid she will hurt me. This is because she likes to make out (thats it) with other guys shortly after meeting them. She claims this is her 'drug' and its what she needs to feel good about herself. any insight in to what is going on here, or advice? Thanks!

If you are interested in pursuing a serious relationship, this girl is clearly not interested in that. She appears more interested in indulging in her sexual desires than confronting this addition. She is right, she will only end up hurting you, with her insatiable sex drive. She may be "limiting" herself to making out, but its only a matter of time before nature takes its course, or she gets taken advantage of by those guys who's hormones she's tormenting. Take my advice, find another girl.

Apologies if I strike a nerve from being a bit too HONEST, but, it sounds to me like your friend is a straight up ho. One...if you like someone, you don't go off with other guys because it's a 'drug' that's just a damn excuse. That tells me that she has issues with self esteem and messing with different guys shortly after meeting them is kind of an ego booster. That also tells me that she has no respect for herself or the way you feel about her despite the fact that she SAYS that she's afraid that she'd hurt you, that's only her way of telling you that she cares about your feelings. That's a damn lie!!! If she cared about your feelings, she wouldn't be 'making out' with other guys, she'd be with you because YOU are a guy who likes her and has respect for her and that is her 'drug' because she's a LADY....The difference between a LADY and a HO....a LADY is respectful and well respected, a HO is just disrespectful and dudes use her for what she has to get what THEY want. A LADY wants a MAN. A HO settles for a trip to the bedroom or a fly by night 'make out' session...If I were you, I'd let her be and look elsewhere. There's plenty of other fish in the sea.

Well I hate to break it to you but shes probally just not that into you. I am sorry to tell you that any maybe I am wrong. However, if she really cared about you she would want to kiss YOU and only YOU... Maybe she was in a bad relationship or just got out of one, if so just give her space. You should let her know that you are there for her, but do not be TO there for you. She is just having fun so why don't you do the same!

It seems that she hasn't been very loved by her father, she therefore has a huge need for affection(mainly physically) if I am correct about her father.
I recommend to you to just be her friend for now, see different ways you can love her without being her "boyfriend", if something happens with you both later it happens, if not you'll be better off than getting yourself in this current chaotic web.

she's experimenting and enjoying that side of herself right now, or maybe she needs to feel desirable, but whatever the reason you have been told so better you find another girl to be with

tell her you like her again then ask her out! if she says yes then ask her to STOP making out with other boys! If she says no then say perhaps another time!
